Perla dei vivi

The grape Perla dei vivi (Pearl of the living) is a variety of which we have very little information. It is present in a single vineyard in the province of Reggio Emilia, but despite this Perla dei vivi has been recorded since 2007 in the National Register of Vine Varieties, and is quoted in the specification of the Doc Colli di Scandiano and Canossa. By DNA analysis it was seen that little is genetically related with the Lambruschi group, of which however it is generally considered a variety. The characteristics detected in this black grape appear to be suitable for making a still wine - very structured and with good dry extract). The vine Pearl of the living, Perla dei vivi gives a wine with a delicate olfactory, but complex, with fruity notes and a good structure, balanced and harmonious.
