Another first rate wine from Italy Abroad. Smooth, supple, subdued tannins, decent length and fruit, rounded and full in the mouth with a nice and subtle acidity that makes it great with lighter red meats, hams - and fuller flavoured fish . Another good food wine. Great value for money. An interesting contrast with a Barbera D'Asti I tried a week or so ago - the Alba has a bit less acidity and is a bit smoother. I'd just caution that as a 2014 vintage, this may be getting near it's natural age - not spoiled in any way, but if you're thinking about it- get in there (before I do).
