Pecorino Le Murate, Nicodemi (75cl)

Pecorino is a grape that in the last few years has seen a renaissance, initially forgotten and left to rot on the vines, now in fashion and being cultivated widely in Abruzzo and March, and in Abruzzo Pecorino has almost replaced the Trebbiano d'Abruzzo as the region flagship white wine.

Pecorino is white grape that can make outstanding white wines and this is one of them. Single vineyard, made from grapes from the oldest vine, this Pecorino is a step above the Pecorino Terrana, has complex nose with citrusy fruit. On the palate is vibrant, elegant with delicate, lively, crispy, with a mineral finish. This white wine perfectly matches pasta dishes, white meat and medium matured cheeses

Fattoria Nicodemi is located in Notaresco, in the heart of the Colline Teramane DOCG zone. The vineyards, at about 300 metres in altitude, protected by the Gran Sasso mountain and only 10 kilometres from the sea, enjoy an exceptional microclimate. The winery follows organic practices, without chemical herbicides, pesticides or fertilizers. Nicodemi is also the story of Alessandro and Elena, brother and sister, that took over in 2000 from their dad who followed the steps of their granddad. Nicodemi is the story of their family.
